About Perry's Farm

A working farm stay in Forth, Tasmania

Perry's Farm is a relaxed North-West Tasmanian property with cattle, irrigated pasture paddocks, river access, farm walks, and country views. The accommodation areas sit near each other on the same farm, but are arranged so Tiny House guests and Share House guests each have their own distinct place to settle in.

Life on the farm

This is a true working-farm setting, not a polished resort. Guests are welcome to enjoy the open views, designated walking areas, and the slower pace of Forth, while respecting livestock areas, gates, equipment, and the natural river environment.

Bruce, the owner and farmer, is based in Launceston and visits regularly. Josh lives on-site full-time in the farm cottage, so Share House stays are relaxed shared farmhouse living rather than a private whole-house rental.

Farm and river safety

The river is beautiful, but conditions can change. Guests use the river area at their own risk, and children must be directly supervised near water, livestock, equipment, paddocks, and farm animals.

Please remain in designated guest areas, follow any farm-safety directions, keep gates closed, and do not enter livestock paddocks unless invited.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Share House room private?

Yes. Share House guests have a private queen room, plus a second room available for storage or use as a quiet workspace. The kitchen, laundry, bathroom, toilet, and living room are shared.

Can I bring my pet?

Perry's Farm does not currently offer standard pet-friendly stays because of livestock and other farm animals on the property. Individual requests may be considered before booking.

Are children welcome?

Children may be considered by prior arrangement. This is an active working farm with a river, livestock, equipment, and paddocks, so close adult supervision is essential at all times.

Can I walk around the farm?

Guests are welcome to use designated walking areas. Please stay within guest-access areas, follow farm directions, keep gates closed, and do not enter animal paddocks without permission.

Is there river access?

Yes. The river is part of a natural farm environment and conditions can change. Guests must take water safety seriously; children must be directly supervised, and river use is at guests' own risk.

Are the Tiny Houses close to the cottage?

The Tiny Houses are located separately from the farm cottage, so each accommodation area has its own space.

Is there mobile reception and Wi-Fi?

Mobile reception is good across the property. Wi-Fi and electricity are included for Perry's Share House guests.
